A. By Bom - Ultra Cool Leaf Mask

Hello, M-Friends!

It’s Rachel, and I’m back with another review!

Lately, my skin has been behaving quite well despite the frequent weather change (ugh! New York). I don't have any dry patches, or pimples. However, when I apply makeup in the morning, the foundation just sits on top of my skin, instead of blending into the skin. After googling for hours, I finally found the reason why my foundation was separating on the skin. According to Korean beauty experts, heaters and electric blankets that keep you warm during cold winter, can increase your skin temperature (duh!). But here's the thing. When the skin temperature goes up, it causes moisture loss and increases sebum production by 10%. It would be great if you can avoid using external heating system during winter, but let's be honest. I wouldn't want to freeze to death for my skin. So here, I picked up A. By Bom's Ultra Cool Leaf Mask this morning. Sheet Masks are a great way to cool down your skin instantly, and this one has an extra cooling effect.

A. By Bom - Ultra Cool Leaf Mask

A By Bom is a very famous salon in Gangnam, South Korea. (Most of their clents are top celebrities!) And maybe that's why their product packing is so beautiful lol. The mask is devided into two sections: A1 Cool Leaf Patch, and A2 Ultra Cool Leaf Mask.

A1 - Cool Leaf Patch

There are 2 big patches and another 2 small leaf-shaped patches in A1. These anti-aging and firming point-care patches have lemon balm, mint leaves, and apple mint that calm the skin. As you can see in the back of the package, there are pictures that show multiple ways you can use the patches.

  1. Eye Care
  2. Smile Line Care
  3. Cheeks (Soothing for sunburn)
  4. Forehead & Chin Care
  5. Neck Care

A2 - Ultra Cool Leaf Mask

A2 is a sheet mask that has lime, basil, cactus, lemon balm, and herb leaves that hydrate and cool down the skin. The Sheet is made of 100% natural lyocell which is made of cellulose extracted from trees. Lyocell sheet feels soft as silk, and it can soak up moisture more than regular cotton sheet.

The leaf patches are securely protected in a transparent net film(?) looking guy.

I applied the big patches on the sides of my eyes, and the small ones on my forehead where I'm sadly forming some fine lines :(

The sheet mask is also protected in a film, and it is DRENCHED in essence, which I always appreciate!

I applied the sheet mask on top of the patches. I was worried if the mask would feel too minty, but the cooling effect was just enough. The mask smelled quite plesant as well :)

I removed the mask after 30 minutes. When I touched my skin afterwards, it was ice cold! As usual, I tapped the tap the excess for better absorption.

Time for makeup! (Please make sure all the essence is absorbed before you put on makeup!) I took this picture just now, at my desk. As you can see, the foundation blended into the skin very well. It made my skin look dewy yet not oily. I give this mask a 10 out of 10. I recommend this mask for all types of skin, and I think it is definitely worth trying in the morning for puffy face as well. That's it for today! Talk to you guys later :)
