Went to the beach yesterday and got a little sunburned haha! Should have re-applied sunscreen religiously. Thankfully I have this tub of HANYUL Pure Artemisia Watery Calming Cream which quickly revived my reddish skin back to normal today!

Hanyul Pure Artemisia Watery Calming Cream cream - M Review 105

This is actually my first time trying a Hanyul product but I've read awesome reviews of this brand! I was excited to try this cream also because of its star ingredient mugwort, a soothing herb that has creeped its way into my favorite ingredients list for soothing irritation, right up there with Centella.

This refreshing gel cream has a beautiful lightweight texture and contains an array of traditional Korean herbs besides mugwort like mulberry, to deeply hydrate and reduce redness and irritation. Without parabens, animal ingredients, mineral oil and artificial colors.

Seeing its texture, I was expecting it to be absorbed super quickly on my combo skin without any residue, but it actually leaves a bit of a moisture film on top, like heavier creams, though not to the point of being uncomfortable. Because of this, I've started using it by itself (or right after toner) because it visibly increases the hydration and moisture level of my skin by so much, even as a stand-alone product This moisture lasts until the next day as well. It doesn't get to the point of my skin becoming oily, but I can definitely still feel the plumpness and "dewiness" of my skin the following day.

So far, I love how soothing it has been for any acne flare ups and irritation from the sun. I also love that it has this slight herbal and natural scent that's really pleasant. A little goes a long way and it has effectively hydrated and moisturized my skin even more than expected! Oily skin types might find it a little too heavy in my honest and humble opinion lol, especially now in the summer, but combo to dry/ dehydrated skin should love the amazing moisture boost it provides without the suffocating texture.
