Innisfree Olive Real Essential Oil - M Review 71

I will always have a bit of a soft spot for Innisfree products. The K Beauty brand was one of the first Korean skincare brands I tried with their uber-popular Green Tea Seed line, and I’ve been a fan ever since. I love that for a mass-marketed brand, they have a unique branding that includes environmental consciousness as well as effective ingredients at an accessible price.

The Olive line is one that I’ve been curious about. It’s one of Innisfree’s more under-the-radar lines, but as a huge fan of olive oil-based skincare, I definitely wanted to try Innisfree’s take on this amazing natural ingredient. The Olive line is designed to be super nourishing and deeply moisturizing.

The Olive Real Essential Oil comes in a gorgeous olive-green glass bottle with a dropper. For the very affordable price of about $25, I think it looks so elegant and beautiful. The oil inside is a lovely light golden color, and is comprised of 23% organic extra virgin olive oil grown in the sun-drenched Mediterranean. Other oils are added to enhance the texture and moisturizing properties, such as meadowfoam oil and squalane, and botanical extracts are also added for their antioxidant benefits.

I’m obsessed with the texture of this oil! If you have dry or dehydrated skin, you will love the Innisfree Olive essential oil. It has a slightly richer, more “grippy” texture than other facial oils -- it feels less slick on the skin, but it absorbs very very well and doesn’t make the skin feel oily. Once absorbed, my skin feels so protected and moisturized, as well as soothed from any irritation. In addition to using it on my face, I’ve been using it on the backs of my hands which are chapped from the dry weather and constant hand-washing of the season. It has a light citrus scent that is very refreshing.

I’m excited to try other products from this line, and I think they are particularly well-suited if you struggle with dryness, as the Olive products are rich yet cosmetically elegant. Once again, Innisfree didn’t disappoint!
