It’s allergy season and that usually means red, irritated, dry and scratched skin from all the nose blowing. Masksheets.com recently added VT to the list of brands they sell so I had to get my hands on the products.
The collection named CICA x CARE features a toner, emulsion, cream, double mist, sunscreen, and face masks among many others. All products are formulated with exclusive ingredient, “CICALIAO™” which is essentially Centella Asiatica Extract, Centella 4x Complex, and Green Propolis Extract. Centella 4x Complex is comprised of Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid, Asiaticoside, and Madecassoside. These components calm inflammation, redness, heals acne scar, promote cell growth, re-plumps the skin and is anti-scaling for a smooth skin surface.
I picked the Cica Double Mist and the Cica Essence Sun.
Cica Double Mist
I’ve had a huge obsession with facial mists ever since I started with Laneige’s Cream Skin Refiner Mist. VT’s Cica Double Mist is particularly efficient in its formula in that it is a hydrating thermal water mist with serum infused! I spray this on a little too often, 4-5 times a day, 3 sprays each time. Centella Asiatica is well known for its anti-inflammatory properties and calming of skin irritation. It is refreshing and I also believe that the ingredients will keep my skin from breaking out because of dryness or irritation from build up throughout the day.
Cica Essence Sun
Since summer has unofficially arrived in New York City, I stocked up on several SPF sun creams to test which ones I like. Having on heavy sunscreen every day can suffocate your skin, that’s why I went with Cica Essence Sun. Cica calms down natural redness and is great for sensitive skin that reacts to harsh ingredients and pollution. The ingredients list features Centella Asiatica Extract, Centella 4x Complex, Green Propolis Extract, and Triple Hyaluronic Acid. It doesn’t leave a white cast and it moistens my face at the least step of my skincare routine before I put on makeup, what more can you ask for?
I highly recommend this line, start with one product and see how your skin likes it, then try more!
