You know, I apologize: I'm still on the fence as to If I really like this product or not. So, I thought I'd list out my pros and cons to help you all with your evaluation for a possible future purchase.
Of note: I purchased this product (without going back in my account to check) in July--i think. I bought it at (again, I think) 50% off, as the product had an expiration date of October 2019, and I knew for sure that if I were diligent in applying and using said product, that I would use all before the expiration date, which is what I did and what happened.
•TEXTURE: ooky; slimy, and gross. I'm trying hard to give an example of what it felt like, but I can't come up with anything (better/worse) else than this: you know when you've got a bad cold and you have mucous dripping down the back of your throat, but then you sneeze, and you grab a handful of Kleenex and blow. And blow again. And blow yet again-and the snot keeps coming. And you get aforementioned snot on both hands, your face, the kleenex, the dog, and everything else in sight? Remember how that felt? that whole, "Oh my god, Oh my god, I need to wipe hands off now" issue? Bienvenidos a mi mundo: you've just experienced the slime factor of this product without applying it to your face.
•SCENT: an over-forward lavender scent. Why do cosmetic companies think that the more gross their product is that that gross factor can be balanced out with the addition of a floral scent--in this case, lavender. No. Please. Ooky. Well, not so much on my ... unless you have a penchant for attending funerals, in which case, go right ahead.
•PERFORMANCE: This product actually lived up to its hydrating and calming claims (for sensitive/inflammed) skin; however, I had to get through the cons as mentioned above first. As someone with 49 year old "mature" dry and sensitive skin, I used this product only at night before applying my thick, night balm (Klair's). I would not recommend using and applying it for morning/day use as the product doesn't completely absorb and remains ticky-tacky.
PAYOFF/RESULTS: Pleasantly pleased: it worked in reducing redness and inflammation from my 49 year old sensitive and mature skin --btw, that was hard to admit/write. Also, I had this weird breakout of what looked like an odd patch of dry skin on my elbow (Psoriasis?) to which, I applied this product nightly, and the dry patch was resolved with a span of two weeks.
FINAL THOUGHTS: This product lived up to its hype, but at a cost of the overwhelming of ooky feeling and that invasive and ever permeating "old lady" lavender vibe; thus my 3 star review.
I wanted to love this product. I’ve gone through two jars. It’s very heavy and my skin is dry and sensitive. My skin cracks and peels a lot in the fall and winter, so I love extra moisture. With this product being so thick I’ve used it year round. My main issue with this product is the Dimeticone and other silicones. I noticed after using this product for several months, I started getting clogged pores around my mouth and chin, my forehead and nose. Places I’ve never had clogged pores or breakouts before. I begin exfoliating and cleansing more to try and fix the issue, that just threw everything out of balance for my skin. This product contains ingredients that definitely clogged my pores. Ive also started having more dryness around my chin and mouth while using the product. I’m going to be switching back to a different brand. I wanted to love this product but after researching more the ingredients this product is not meant for my skin tupe and silicone are not an ingredient I want on my skin.
Silicones could also be clogging your pores, but manifesting as dryness and dullness instead of acne. Not only do silicones prevent additional moisture from getting in, but the impacted materials can dehydrate your pores and throw your skin's natural regulatory processes off-balance.
What do you mean by it expiring on November 2019? The cream will be no good or are you referring to the line being unavailable?
Perhaps it was the jar I received- was sticky and never absorbed well. Stopped using after the third time.
i mix this with my oils and it's very hydrating
Wish it came in a bucket
Whatever snails had to die for this, I will forever be grateful. I have used moisturizers of all kinds, I had a routine of using multiple ones ...it just never felt like my skin was observing anything. This stuff is amazing and my skin loves and for some reason, it feels like it not only moisturizes but also repairs it? like it heals whatever the issues are... love this stuff.
Skin is so soft and acne scars
I have been using this cream (although it's more like a gel) for the past month or so, and my skin feels great! It goes on like a gel, and since I only use it at night, it keeps my skin hydrated throughout the night. This definitely could not be put under makeup as it does not dry; it's kind of like a sleeping mask. My skin used to crack often due to the cold weather, but now it is getting better. My acne scars look as if they softened as well, which is a bonus. I will probably buy this again once I run out.
Gosh this product is fantastic. I use it daily and say skin just glows like the other dewy skinned ladies on the streets of Seoul. It’s calming, highly moisturizing, light, somewhat sticky but is pleasant and works.
Amazing product! At first it seems that it’s a bit sticky but soon gets absorbed by the skin to give smooth and supple feeling!
Awesome product :)
Got this during the 2nd Anniversary sale for only half the price and I really am blown away by the results! I have only been able to used it twice so far and I apply this right after my toner instead of using as a moisturizer (I think its too thick to be a moisturizer) I use it as a part of my night routine and after just 2 uses, I'm starting to see my acne scars fade away on my bottom cheek!
