Is Your Skin Dehydrated? Hyaluronic Acid Solution: AHC Hydra Soother Mask - M Review 56

This is one mask that I was super excited to try out; because it contains 50% Hyaluronic Acid Solution! The mask itself is made of 100% natural cellulose fiber; making its adherence incredibly nice. I wore this for 45 minutes and the mask did not budge one bit. The sheet was absolutely drenched in clear slippery essence. The essence itself had no noticeable scent which I appreciated…sometimes a highly fragranced product can be a little off-putting to me. I applied the excess serum from the packaging onto my face before applying the mask.

It felt really cooling and soothing; which was already a two thumbs up from me since I just applied a clay mask beforehand and my skin needed the combination of cooling and soothing. I’ve included a before photo to show the red patches on my skin due to the clay mask I used so you can see the after photo and really appreciate how well this AHC mask performed in soothing my skin.

As mentioned earlier, the essence had 50% hyaluronic acid solution. This is one of my all time favorite ingredients since hyaluronic acid (HA) does wonders for hydration. The word “acid” in HA may sound scary to some, but it, in fact,is not one of those acids that burn you! It is a powerful and naturally occurring humectant that keeps our skin hydrated. (A humectant is a moisture-binding ingredient; meaning it holds onto moisture very well, which is amazing for our skin!). Plump and hydrated skin gives you a more youthful appearance because it “plumps” out our fine lines and gives our skin a younger and healthier look!

Other than the HA, this mask is chock full of other amazing ingredients; such as sodium hyaluronate, hydrolyzed collagen and many botanical and root extracts. These extracts include Rose water extract, Linseed extract, Sugarcane extract, Rice lipids, Centella Asiatic Extract and so many more.

After 45 minutes of wear, you can see that the redness in my skin was significantly reduced! My skin was also left feeling incredibly hydrated, nourished and soothed. As far as claims go, I do give this my stamp of approval as it did live up to its claims. The finish of the mask was a slight tacky residue but nothing heavy! It took a moment to dry down completely and when it did, it also felt like this mask gave me a firming effect. I recommend that this mask is followed up with a night cream (if used at night) or a light moisturizer (during the day) to seal in the hydration from the AHC mask. Overall, I had a lovely and relaxing experience with this mask!
