You Don’t Know Which PaPa Recipe’s Bombee Mask Is Best For You? - M Review 53
My second Papa Recipe mask! Spoiler alert; this lived up to the hype. This is a black mask that is completely drenched in essence. The fit and adherence are both phenomenal; as expected of black masks. Due to the color, you can’t see any bubbles or lifting so aesthetically it gets a two thumbs up! The essence is semi-viscous and has a slight tint to it. This is most likely due to the material of the mask and the black mesh protective backing that makes it easier to unravel the mask. The mask gave off a subtle honey scent that was not too overpowering; sweet but delicately so.
Diving deeper into the essence, the ingredients list really wowed me. It’s obvious that this is a honey mask, but the pleasantly surprising part is that this contains three beneficial related extracts; royal jelly extract, propolis extract, and honey extract.
Royal jelly is a thick substance secreted by honeybees to nurture their queen; so it doesn’t come as a surprise that this ingredient can also nourish our skin! It contains 17 different amino acids, making it one of the richest sources of protein. Other benefits from royal jelly extract include collagen promotion, anti-inflammatory properties and soothing.
While royal jelly is what nourishes the queen bee, propolis is what is used to hold the beehive together and protect the hive from bacteria and other environmental invaders. For our skin, propolis extract provides even more anti-inflammatory properties. The same goes for honey extract; this ingredient gives you that boost of glow!
Other notable ingredients in this mask are Licorice root extract, Schizandra fruit extract, Coptis Japonica root extract, Ginger root extract, camellia leaf extract, Grapefruit seed extract, and Calamus root extract. Many of these botanical extracts add additional nourishment, hydrating and soothing properties to our skin.
I only cleansed and toned my face prior to using this mask, no serums or essences, because I wanted to see the maximum results from this mask and to see if it lied up to its claims; which are to richly moisturize, nourish and gives a glow.
Prior to masking, my skin looked okay. I currently do not have any breakouts or have problematic skin. The only real issue I have with my skin is that I get red really easily; so my highest hopes for this mask was to see redness relief, hydration, and that glow.
I wore this mask for forty minutes! The mask held its essence for quite a while and felt moist throughout the entire wear. When I removed the mask, it was just starting to dry. I never like to leave a mask on until it completely dries so off it went. As you can see in the after photo, my skin was left looking more even toned, minimal redness and my skin felt very nourished. This did not leave a tacky finish for me, so I would definitely recommending using this as a morning mask if you’d like. In short, this mask lived up to its claims and I can see why everyone loves this brand so much!
