Skincare YouTubers You Should Be Watching 2021

Comment /

Trying to find the right products for your skin? Maybe you’re just getting started with building a solid skincare routine, but you just don’t know where to start. Searching through Google just doesn’t cut it, so the next place is YouTube. It’s been one of the biggest platforms that the beauty space has exploded. YouTube has recently been seeing a rising popularity in skincare channels that focus on educational and review-based content to make your life easier!

Whether you’re looking for product recommendations, tips and tricks, or reviews on products - you should definitely check out these channels to help you on your skincare journey:

Hyram

If you’re into skincare and haven’t heard about Hyram...where have you been? Hyram is a Hawaii-based skincare influencer that exploded YouTube in the past couple of years. His most notable content is his “Specialist Reacts to….” where he reacts to skincare routines and trends. He currently has around 4.5 million subscribers to his channels and for good reason. He appeals to a younger millennial / Gen-Z audience that wants to be more educated on the very intricacies of skincare. Hyram’s philosophy on ingredients becomes almost a religion, the way he eloquently explains things while still having a sense of humor make the viewing experience that much more enjoyable!

Liah Yoo

Liah Yoo is - in my mind - the original skincare guru! I remember my earliest days of getting into skincare, when YouTube was filled with more makeup channels than skincare channels. She was one of the very first skincare influencers that were on the platform and has now made it big with over 1.17 million subscribers and  the launch of her very own brand, Krave Beauty. Prior to her company, she focused on creating educational content - her most notable works being “How To…” videos that covered various skincare topics and concerns backed by her understanding of the science that goes behind skincare. Her philosophy on simplifying your skincare routine and “listening to what your skin craves” has become the new wave of skincare.

BeautyWithin

BeautyWithin is a beauty channel on YouTube that probably has content for every beauty-related Google Search you thought of. Aside from skincare, they have created beauty content related to makeup, food, lifestyle, and more. The videos are created like a talk show segment where hosts, Felicia Lee and Rowena Tsai, review products, provide recommendations, and discuss current trends and skincare ingredients. They both provide valuable insights as they have different skin types and concerns that more people watching at home can relate to. I think the over 2.43 million subscribers can agree that the chemistry between the two girls make watching their videos so enjoyable.
