M Review 60 - Dr. Jart Cicapair Calming Mask

M Review 62 - Dr Jart Cicapair Calming Mask featured

Dr Jart+ Cicapair Calming Mask is infused with centella asiatica, an Asian herbal plant commonly referred to as tiger grass, known to aid in skin recovery. Centella extract in this sheet mask also helps cool, soothe, repair and moisturize sensitive skin. This mask also contains botanical oils and extracts for additional soothing benefits. Overall, this is a mask that soothes hot and sensitive skin and restore irritated skin for a healthy appearance.

M Review 60 - Before

My skin is extra sensitive and red today. Sebum-wise, it’s feeling like normal skin with the usual slight dehydration. I’ve cleansed and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

M Review 60 - Dr Jart Cicapair Calming Mask essence

Out of the packet, I caught a faint clean scent. Essence was runny and had a light green tinge. There was about a palm full of essence left after retrieving the sheet mask out of the packet.

The sheet mask felt soft and thin, almost like silk. It came with a perforated backing which allowed application to be less challenging.

Fit was almost great because my only complaint is the tiny mouth hole. Apart from that, I was able to apply this mask without looking in the mirror and not mess up.

Adherence was great! There were no lifts even though there were lots of overlaps and fold. There were no air bubbles either.

I took the mask off after 30 mins, it was slightly damp.

The remaining essence absorbed at average speed. Finish was slightly dewy and slightly greasy.

My combo skin felt moderately to intensely hydrated and moisturized, enough not to apply a moisturizer afterwards. I think dry skin will enjoy this amount of hydration but oily skin might find it too icky.

I think my redness did go down a lot, but not entirely. I was hoping for this mask to completely eradicate my redness, given that it is targeted at sensitive and irritated skin.

Brightening, plumping, and skin smoothing effect were just average.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

This mask worked great if it wasn’t marketed as one for calming redness. My favorite mask from the brand is Dr Jart+ Ceramidin Skin-Friendly Nanoskin Sheet Mask as it was able to address all the aspects that I look for in a sheet mask. Check out more Dr Jart+ reviews here.

Go be beautiful!
